Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde surprised fans are players of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) when he personally showed up alongside State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon Debo Ogundoyin and Commissioner for Special Duties, Chief Bayo Lawal at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasigba, Ibadan, during a match between 3SC Ibadan and Ekiti United

In his own words, via a tweet @seyimakinde, he said:.

“We attended the match between Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Ibadan and Ekiti United at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasigba, this evening” December 22, 2019. “Congratulations to our team for the 1-0 victory”.

Makinde went further to say that “It was an opportunity to honour former player/coach, Felix Owolabi and former Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Ayoola Makanjuola for their outstanding contributions to 3SC and sports development in Oyo State.

Such a brilliant morale booster to the team from a man who has been supportive of the club that fell on hard surface in the past, because previous leaders failed to have the long view of what sports can mean to the sociology economic well being of a people.
