The House of Representatives member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, Hon Shehu Nicholas Garba (Sarkin Noma) has distributed relief materials to One Hundred and Thirty Widows (130) in each of the twenty three (23) wards that make up the constituency.
This followed the directive of the Kaduna State Government, instructing her citizens to stay at home as part of the measures to prevent the spread of the deadly Coronavirus in the state, according to a press statement issued by the Personal Assistant to Hon. Shehu Nicholas Garba, Mr. Mock Samuel Kure.
The lawmaker said: “the palliatives, comprising of rice and some condiments is our own little way of cushioning the hardship of the time”.
He further stressed that: “The aim is to provide assistance to the vulnerable people in the constituency, especially the widows during the stay-at-home directive by the government”.
He urged his constituents to obey the preventive measures as instructed by the government and medical experts to contain the virus which includes: regular hand-washing, social distancing, etc.
