How Ben Murray-Bruce Rattled Buhari Into Sanctioning Daura’s Sack As DSS Boss

When the DSS boss, Lawal Daura ordered secret service personnel all wearing masks and armed with automatic weapons as the execution stage of the well planned APC plot to violently take over the National Assembly and force the illegal impeachment of Bukola Saraki so as to install Buhari loyalists as leaders of the National Assembly, they did not factor in the street credibility of smooth operator Ben Murray-Bruce, a PDP Senator from Bayelsa State, representing former president Jonathan’s District.
While the siege was on, private television stations started rolling their cameras as they beamed the event live, to a global audience who watched in horror, the armed assault on Nigeria’s legislative chambers. Some APC stalwarts seemed to be having fun over this, watching the drama unfold.
Owner of Silverbird Television, Ben Murray-Bruce himself who is quite media savvy came on air and threatened the DSS operatives including the government that he was already in touch with the European Union, the US and other foreign countries to revoke the visas of government officials over this ongoing rape on democracy.
Meanwhile, Britain’s most frequent foreign visitor, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari was already in Britain on yet another vacation that may include a medical check up because Nigeria’s APC government has not done much to improve medical facilities at home for it’s citizens.
Besides government officials spend billions of naira annually traveling around the world while citizens are left to face the deadly menace of Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen militia gunfire.
That threat proved unnerving to the government. It was also likely that Nigerians in the United Kingdom may gather to demonstrate at the Nigerian High Commission demanding Buhari’s expulsion from the UK, especially when they read his history starting from how he truncated democracy with guns in 1983 to the brazen attempted kidnap of Umaru Dikko on UK soil during Buhari’s military regime in the early 80s. The analysis of the repercussions of their actions showed that they would lose very badly.
As a face saving device, it was decided that the whole rap be pinned on the DSS boss, who is Buhari’s kinsman. At least it was the operatives under his command that were seen on television. The poor man had to carry the Can. He was blamed for initiating it without authorization and has been arrested by the police to shift the blame away from the government officials that planned it.
