June 12: Salute To An Icon Of Democracy, Peter Danjuma Averik In Jema’a Local Govt

The Executive Chairman, Jema’a Local Government Area in Kaduna state,Honourable Peter Danjuma Averik has been described as an icon of democracy in the local government and the state at large.

This is contained in a press statement from Jema’a local government network for good governance,signed by Mustapha Usman Madaki and issued to newsmen in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria.

The statement explained that the local government council under the democratic leadership of Mr Averik has recorded unprecedented achievements that have impacted positively on the lives of people.

It stated that the local government within the period under review had witnessed positive democratic attributes of prudence, accountability and transparency in governance from the Chairman also known as Mr Project.

“Healthcare delivery, road construction, agricultural development, educational improvement, economic empowerment and philanthropic gestures in the face of economic and security challenges suffered by the local government remain exemplary”, it added.

The Jema’a Local Government Network For Good Governance however assured the chairman of their unalloyed support and loyalty in view of his programmes and policies targeted at improving the lives of people to ensuring dividends of democracy is equitably enjoyed by all and sundry in the area.

They charged him to never relent on his efforts aimed at transforming the local government to enable it become the envy of all within the state.
