Aftermath Of Herdsmen Killing Of 4, In Bakin Kogi

PRESS RELEASE BY SENATOR CHIEF (Dr.) DANJUMA LA’ AH ON BAKIN KOGI HERDSMEN KILLING OF 11th February 2018.

Gentlemen of the Press, Once more my heart bleeds seriously with the dark cloud that is enveloping my Senatorial Zone yet again with the unfortunate killing in my Constituency at Bakin Kogi on a Sunday which is supposed to be a Holy and sacred day for the Christian faithful.
Right now four people are dead while others are in critical conditions and are lying in different hospitals.

Having done my best in the area of security, I was really taken aback with the recent herdsmen attack on my peace loving people just when we were jubilant that peace has finally returned to Southern Kaduna.
As a lover of peace, a family man and a businessman, I know the importance of peace in the areas of growth and development of my people, especially as the farming season is fast approaching in an election year.

By the grace of God and my privileged position as your representative, I physically stood by the Zone during the period of massive massacres in virtually all the troubled spots, providing succour to those affected. I provided cars and motorcycles to the Vigilante, assisted the Police and other Security Agencies with logistics to ease their jobs, thus it is really unfortunate that such should still be happening despite such commitments to security.

I therefore condemn this attack in its totality and pray God grants those that lost their lives eternal rest.
My condolence goes to the Paramount Ruler of the affected community, the families of the victims and to all of us in Southern Kaduna.

Once more I want to tell the world that killings are still going in my Zone as the government has failed in her primary responsibility. This issue shall be tabled at the floor of the Senate yet again to seek Justice until my people are free and safe to live in peace as citizens as enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I urge us to continue to live in peace, be prayerful and cooperate with the security agencies as they work to protect all of us.

God bless Zone 3 with Peace
God bless Kaduna State
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

CHIEF Dr. DANJUMA LA’AH,
