As the polls opened Saturday morning, February 23, 2019, PDP’s gubernatorial candidate in Gombe State, Senator Bayero Nafada went to cast his vote for the presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates in his home town of Nafada. It was obvious that he voted for PDP’s Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria’s former Vice President as president, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo as Senator
and Shehu Abubakar Durbi for the House of Representatives.

Bayero Nafada told our correspondent in Gombe that he “was at Nafada LGA, Nafada East ward, Kofar Uban doma A 005, Gombe state to perform my civic duty in voting for a better Nigeria.
More so, I voted for the continuity of Gombe’s progress . PLEASE go out and vote, we can’t be stopped”.

Senator Bayero Nafada’s gubernatorial contest comes up March 9, 2019.

Sen. Bayero Nafada’s gubernatorial contest comes up two weeks after the presidential election. He is favoured to win on the bedrock of the enduring legacies of the giant strides of Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo who will be rounding up his two term tenure on May 29, 2019. He proceeds to the Senate after an expectedly favourable outcome in the ongoing Senatorial election as at the time of going to Press.

Voting has been expectedly peaceful all over Gombe State, going by the feedback being received in The Oasis Reporters newsroom.
