Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has constituted his cabinet, days after the Oyo State House of Assembly, screened and cleared them.

Eminent citizens of Oyo State were present at the Swearing in ceremony, including family, friends and well-wishers of the commissioners.

They are expected to hit the ground running, in the implementation of the plan of action laid down to kick-start the economy of the largest state in Nigeria’s South West that suffered economic degradation under the previous administration of Abiola Ajimobi where salaries of civil servants were owed on end, sometimes for more than one year.

With the coming of the Seyi Makinde government, things seem to be turning around as viewed with the buoyant spirit experienced during the Ileya Muslim feast, as complaints about lack of financial wherewithal was not heard from most government contractors and civil servants.

Some of the newly sworn in Commissioners are: Hon. Kehinde Ayoola, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Hon. Adeniyi Farinto, Ministry of Budget and Planning, Mrs Funmilayo Orisadeyi, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
