The former Kaduna State R-APC chairman that finally joined the PDP prior to the general elections after breaking away from the ruling APC, Colonel Gora Dauda has requested for a performance evaluation and review of the 2019 general elections, particularly as it affects the PDP in Kaduna State.
He made this request in an open letter to the PDP national president, Prince Uche Secondus.
His letter reads:
OPEN LETTER TO PDP NATIONAL CHAIRMAN CHIEF UCHE SECONDUS ON THE URGENT NEED FOR A POSTMORTEM ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PDP IN THE 2019 GENERAL ELECTIONS
I am congratulating you for the confidence, hope and tenacity of purpose which your leadership has brought back to the People’s Democratic Party. While many of our people were on the verge of giving up on the PDP, your leadership has restored hope. The evidence is clear for everyone who believes in the democratic process to see, by the performance of the PDP in the 2019 general elections.
Whilst the main thrust of the PDP was to regain power from the governing All Progressives Congress, the outcome of the elections does portend hope for the future. This is without prejudice to the ongoing litigations either at the Election Tribunals or the Courts.
I am to also draw your attention on the need for the PDP to carry out a POSTMORTEM EXERCISE of the entire preparations, campaigning and the actual elections. This is normal practice at the end of any important outing such as a general election. Such an exercise conducted at all levels will enable the Party to purge itself of the many political traitors within its ranks who obviously played ignoble roles of ” fifth columnists ” acting against the interests of the PDP. The evidence is everywhere that many of these characters actually worked for All Progressives Party for a price particularly in Kaduna State. Unless they are unmasked, they will continue to undermine the PDP from within which is the strategic objective of the governing APC.
This is my very humble suggestion.
Thank you Sir.
