The former Chairman of Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State and serving member of the House of Representatives, Hon.Thaddeus Aina has advised members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ekiti to stop destroying Prof. Kolapo Olusola’s billboards in the state.
The federal legislator made the assertion on Friday in a telephone conversation with one of his aides while reacting to the uncivilized act of some political thugs in the APC who were mobilized to destroy billboards erected by him in Ilogbo-Ekiti for Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka.
While reiterating that victory remains sure for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, Hon. Aina affirmed that defection of some PDP members in Ido/Osi Local Government to another party, especially the defection of the pioneer PDP Chairman in the local government, Chief Olaiya Adeosun and others will not in anyway affect the victory of PDP, saying Ido/Osi is known to be one of the strongholds of PDP in the state.
The former council boss said the Deputy Governor and PDP governorship candidate, Prof. Kolapo Olusola who recently celebrated his 50th birthday will be elected as governor of the state.
Aina who represents Ekiti North Federal Constituency II, comprising Ido/Osi, Moba and Ilejemeje said the victory will be total by reason of the general acceptability of the party amongst Ekiti electorate.
He emphasized that the leading opposition’s candidate in the state will be rejected once again by the people, because his plea over his wrong deeds when he was in the saddle was not acceptable.
“The victory of PDP in the forthcoming election in Ekiti State is certain, because there is nothing APC can do to win the election.
“Federal power will not make APC get more than what they worked for, I will advise those people who were mobilized to destroy PDP billboards in my ward to refrain from such act as billboards or posters will not win the election for a rejected party like APC.
“I want to appeal to all aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, especially those people moving to the APC to have a second thought as nothing will stop PDP from winning the election”, he said.
The PDP chieftain added that those who had decamped from the party will soon have reasons to come back, because no party will accommodate them the way PDP did.
He charged all committed PDP members to remain steadfast as the party is set to record another beautiful and incontrovertible victory in July election.
