Ambassador Ben – Shoshan Set To Boost Nigeria – Israeli Ties Through Bible Quiz Competitions, Bilateral Relations

The top three winners of the second National Bible Quiz in Nigeria will enjoy an all expense paid trip to Israel in December, in addition to participating in the International Bible Quiz competition coming up this December in Jerusalem.
Israeli ambassador to Nigeria, Shimon Ben – Shoshan made this known at the closing ceremony of the Grand Finale of the Second Nigerian Bible Quiz held at the National Christian Centre in Abuja, 27 November 2019.
Mr. Ben – Shoshan who expressed his delight at the turn out for the contest also prayed for a greater number of female participants in future contests also added, saying, “We hope that in subsequent years, the Embassy of Israel will have a larger participation, as well as having more women participants which will further foster the relationship between Israel and Nigeria”.
He further expressed delight with diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Israel vowing to take it higher .
“The diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and Israel is good and we are working towards taking
this relationship to another level,” the Ambassador added.
The contest is organised by Israel’s Ministry of Education in collaboration with Christians United For Israel and the Christian Association of Nigeria.
Israel, a small country approximately the size of Niger State is the only Jewish country globally with a population of nine million people of whom Jews
comprise around 80 percent, that also has great ties and religious affinity to over 100 million Nigerian Christians who look to Israel for religious succour and pilgrimage.
