Each time keen eyed staff of StanbicIBTC Pensions drove past Beresibi, a community in Koko Village which is in Warri North LGA, just before Oghara town, they noticed that the riverine community lacked one basic amenity despite being surrounded by rivers.

Clean, potable water.

The sign was that women and men trekked long distances to get drinking water.

Rivers in the Niger Delta region are often polluted due to the activities of oil prospectors.

It was easy to deduce that water borne diseases would be afflicting the community, making overstretched hospitals have more work with it’s attendant stress.



Another notable fact is that oil rich Delta State, still weighed down under the heavy burden of infrastructural deficit would be unable to cope with the demand of various projects, early enough to cater for a well provisioned state.

Therefore, in it’s bid to give something back to the community where it works as CSR, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited, through It’s Business Development Unit called for nominations of projects they could do for host communities.



At the vote, the case of Beresibi Community became so compelling, after all, clean drinking water is a notable perquisite of life which is in keeping with MDG goals as enunciated by the WHO and other allied UN bodies.


January 5, 2022 became a carnival day in Beresibi community as staff of StanbicIBTC Pension Managers drove to Warri to hand a borehole, accompanied with an adequate power generating set to a grateful community.
