‘Why Women Protested At The Handshake Across The Niger Event’, Explains Dr. Ezeife

“It has become necessary to explain the true motivation of the women who appeared to be protesting when the President of Ohanaeze was making A Welcome Address at the “Hand Shake Across the Niger” event. I went to the women, tried to understand them, talked with them, sympathize with them and clearly understood their motive.
Their protest was clearly against the continuation of Nigera and they struck as soon as President Nwodo mentioned “restructuring”! For them, there was no hope for Nigeria, in any form. It is the positive definite definition of the great success of the event that as the purpose of the “Handshake” began to sink, the same women started cheering wildly. Their wildest cheer was for Femi Fani Kayode emphasizing their IPOB connection. They gave the implied message that should the alliance between Igbo and Yoruba really work effectively, then there can be a new Nigeria, inevitably restructured for things to work.
