Dr. Michael Umunna.
President of the Organization of Nigerian Nationals (ONN).

Nigerians resident in the Dallas Fort Worth area of Texas, USA have made a passionate appeal to the Federal government to grant them a Consul General, and indeed, a Consul General in each major American city to make the renewal of the Nigerian international passport a lot easier, even as they applaud the new ten year validity for it.

This appeal was contained in a special broadcast made by the president of the ONN: Organization of Nigerian Nationals
in the Dallas area, Dr. Michael Umunna, which was sent to The Oasis Reporters recently.

In the special broadcast, Dr. Umunna urges Nigerians to have a common purpose regardless of ethnic origin, the very essence that has made America a great nation.

He equally exhorts Nigerians at home not to sell their votes, but use it for liberty and freedom towards building a united country.

It will be recalled that millions of Nigerians live in the diaspora and their home remittances run into several billions in dollars annually, enabling many homeland Nigerians to pay children’s school fees, afford housing, healthcare etc in a very depressed economy.

Over 30, 000 Nigerian doctors live and work in the United States alone, earning dream salaries and making impact abroad and in the country.
