While preparing for the epic upcoming PDP Delegates Convention, frontline party presidential candidate, Peter Obi has been on a whirlwind tour of PDP formations in the states and zones of Nigeria.

On April 26, 2022, he was with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) delegates, leaders and distinguished members in Osun State, South West Nigeria.

The enduring side attraction was the attentive gaze Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke fixed on Peter Obi and every word that the former governor uttered from his lips.

Adeleke had good reason to see inspiration from the ebullience of Peter Obi.

The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will be heading for the July 16th 2022 election in a contest he just has to win.

Adeleke had won it before, four years ago but the ultra undemocratic forces against him were just too many and too powerful. They forcefully pushed the vote into extra time where thuggery and intimidation were deployed.

The case eventually went to the Elections Tribunal..
Adeleke won.
But it further went to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court where he lost over a technicality that was outside his scope.

When Nurudeen Adeleke met with Peter Obi in Osogbo, above every other thing, the PDP gubernatorial candidate wanted some anti godfather anointing from Peter Obi.

The presidential contender also battled at the polls, the Elections Petitions Tribunal and the courts to reclaim his mandate from powerful godfathers.

As Adeleke squares off against Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressive Congress, APC, he would be looking over his shoulders for the hand of Oyetola’s uncle, Bola Ahmed Tinubu the godfather whose original state of origin is Osun. Tinubu is reputed for his dexterity in the deployment of bullion van politics.

Adeleke has heard the story of the wondrous exploits of Peter Obi.

As a governor, Obi did not owe workers. He led the Anambra State to make money internally and pay bills.

Osun state from the days of former governor Aregbesola to that of Oyetola, owing workers, pensioners and borrowing beyond the capacity to pay is State policy in the South West State.

Adeleke would be praying for Obi’s luck while walking on the path of the presidential contestant.

He needs luck. And prayers. Beyond prayers, Adeleke can sing and he can dance…that is in praise of he who deserves all the praise.

Back to the consultative meetings with party members all across the nation, Peter Obi has met with the women, the mothers and the sisters of PDP. They were not left out in the meeting with party stalwarts.

It is believed that Peter Obi has virtually covered all the States of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory.

Reports of his interactions would come out shortly.
