The Gubernatorial aspirant of the Action Democratic Party, ADP in Plateau State, Pastor Margaret Inusa has said her desire to venture into politics was to break the jinx of women’s inactivity in politics since the return of democracy in Nigeria.
Pastor Inusa disclosed this during an interview with journalists at the ADP Secretariat in Jos on Monday .
She appealed to Nigerian women to reunite towards promoting gender programmes that can impact positively on the well-being of women, whom she described as a vulnerable set in the society .
According to her, not one of the 36 States has produced a woman as governor, “we are yet to see one woman elected so my vision to serve is to bring people together to identify the need of each community”,she explained.
” I chose to join the ADP as a political party which has principle and ideology of people oriented programme with friendly constitution and manifestoes that is lacking in many parties”.
Adding that she has spent 40 years teaching hospitality to the congregation by winning more souls to Christ but if given the mandate, “I can deliver on my campaign promises to the electorate” .
She called on Plateau people to see the ADP as an alternative political party to help put this great country on the right path because the only party that is willing to make a difference, “so let us be very supportive. We have to start by stopping this change by calling on citizens to see the difference.
” I have a good vision to transform the lives of the average Nigerian to make them understand the meaning of good governance and purposeful leadership that will carry us to the promised land”, Pastor Inusa explained.
