Hours after the deadly attack on Kuje Prison in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city and yet another attack on President Muhammadu Buhari’s advance convoy killing a police Assistant Commissioner, AMINU Umar, there has been a report of a vandalisation of Bridge no.33 @km 54 on the Abuja – Kaduna railway track (Asham-Jere) on 06/07/2022.

ACP Aminu Umar has been laid to rest according to Islamic injunctions :

This was the announcement of the loss of the police officer by the police department:

The bridge and its components were vandalised and some of the components removed (sidewalk/walkway slab, steel parapet, kerb stone for retaining the ballast etc).

Abuja based Analysts say it seems like the terrorist boko haram cadres drawn largely from the majority Kanuri tribe in the north east and the Fulani ethnic herdsmen militia from the north west are pushing for a crippling of the Nigerian state ahead of scheduled 2023 general elections.

Nigeria’s security forces headed by mostly Northern Muslims seem overwhelmed and finding itself unable to secure the country with President Buhari saying he is “disappointed” at the ineptitude of the intelligence department. Meanwhile, non of the security chiefs who are mainly northerners have been fired.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been accused of nepotism by favouring his Fulani ethnic group as well as northern Muslims with high profile appointments even in the strategic defence department where competence ought to take precedence over primordial considerations.

Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr.
Peter Obi has likened the Nigerian state to where an automobile driver is engaged to fly an aeroplane. That is the sad state of the nation.

Nigerians keep wondering about the largely ineffectiveness of the country’s security forces despite the huge funds that they have gulped in the past seven years of Buhari’s leadership.

Former Senator Shehu SANI tweets, calling for decisive leadership:

Meanwhile, fear pervades the fiber of every Nigerian citizen and those in the northern axis from Abuja to other extreme ends live in constant dread while politicians like the NNPP Presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso still wants northerners to continue ruling Nigeria by denying the obvious reality of the challenges in their region.
