Bandits Kill Jos Varsity Hospital Staff And Plateau Assembly Speaker Aides – Police

The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Luka Mandaki has lost two of his staff members to the activities of armed bandits.
In a WhatsApp conversation with the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, Terna Mathias Tyopev, he said that at about 2100hrs last night, 25/08/2018, the Nigerian Police received a distress call that there were sporadic gunshots at Zarazong area of Jos which houses Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) Staff. The Police mobilised to the area.
“On arrival there, Azi Magaji the driver to the Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly and Edward Ankpa Titus a security guard with JUTH were found motionless.
They were rushed to the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH immediately but were confirmed dead by the doctor on duty, while Kopdi Monday and Nenman Popdak who were on duty at JUTH Gate 4 were also found with gunshot injuries and were rushed to JUTH for treatment. The two victims are responding to treatment.
Investigation into the case is on to track and arrest the perpetrators of the attack.
