President Muhammadu Buhari on the move.

President Muhammadu Buhari, who a foreign newspaper once described as ‘Nigeria’s frequent London visitor’ will depart London, England for Abuja on Monday.

The Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina, disclosed this information to the BBC Hausa Service .

“He will be in the UK until Monday next week,” Adesina told BBC Hausa.

President Buhari returned to London on Thursday after attending the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

No explanation was given for the President’s current visit, but in this year alone, he has spent 153 days in London, receiving medical attention for an undisclosed ailment.

Diaspora Nigerians in London had planned protest demonstrations in front of Abuja House should President Buhari extend his stay in the UK again. This early departure has put a spanner in the works of the demonstrators.
