Double Tears For Alexandra Ekwueme, Loses Dad And Anambra Election Same Day

Elder statesman and Nigeria’s former vice president (1979 – 1983) under the President Shehu Shagari regime, Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Alexander Ekwueme has been reported dead in a London Clinic at 10.00pm, November 19, 2017.
This was contained in a statement from the Igwe of Oko, the musicologist, Prof. Laz Ekwueme, younger brother of the late elder statesman.
Hours earlier, the results of the Anambra State November 18 election had been announced which Dr. Ekwueme’s daughter, Alexandra had participated in as deputy Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
The PDP candidate, Oseloka Obaze had said that the choice of Alexandra was a compensation to Dr. Ekwueme, her father.
The lady was said to be full of sorrow over the double loss, announced same day.
