In trying to piece what actually transpired, we first went to the micro blogging site, Twitter and here’s a report by Vanguard newspapers.

Anambra: Ebelechukwu Obiano vs Bianca Ojukwu: Facts revealed

“What are you doing here? Ebelechukwu Obiano asked Bianca Ojukwu.

“You said we’ll never win the governorship and here you are. You are a witch” Mrs Obiano told Bianca.

Bianca slapped her and a fight ensued

Going by that account, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano appeared to be discourteous, lacking in the social graces and comportment that should be seen in a First lady.

A Twitterati added thus, “Yes! The “ashawo” bit was disgraceful! Very bad example for younger women”.
Swear words like “witch” were also heard.

And all that coming from a first lady, seemed rather low down.

Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano was born in Onitsha in Anambra State Nigeria. She hails from Ogbunike in Oyi LGA and is married to the now former governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano from Aguleri in Anambra East LGA of the state.

She attended Lagos Premier Day School in Lagos State and Okija Community Secondary School in Anambra State, where she obtained General Certificate of Education (GCE). She was admitted into University of Lagos where she earned a Diploma in Mass Communication. She followed it up with a Degree in History and International Studies from Lagos State University (LASU).

She later obtained an Associate Degree in real Estate from Lone Star College, Houston, Texas, United States of America. She had other training in Human and Material Management in Nigeria, Europe and the USA.

Bianca Ojukwu has also given reasons why she gave Obiano’s wife a slap.

She opened up on the fight incident involving her and Ebelechukwu Obiano, the immediate past first lady of Anambra state during the inauguration of Charles Soludo as the new governor of the state, on Thursday.

Bianca, who spoke about the incident while appearing on Arise TV on Friday, said Mrs. Obiano, who was drunk, came to abuse her, which prompted her own reaction.

According to her: ”I didn’t pay any attention to her arrival. Surprisingly, she then walked towards me and I thought she was coming to greet me. Instead she verbally attacked me with her voice raised, taunting me and asking me what I was there to do, using unprintable, vile language.

She asked if I had come to celebrate their last day in office but I ignored her completely. Then she kept on aggressively putting her hand on my shoulders and shouting.

“While I ignored her verbal onslaught as advised by people sitting around me, I requested twice that she refrain from touching me with her hands. She proceeded to do so yet again and tried to touch my head and remove my head tie. It was at this point I stood up to defend myself and gave her a dirty slap to stop her from attacking me. As she made towards me, I then pulled away her wig, she then held on to her wig with her two hands and tried to take the wig away from me.

“The former APGA chairman, Umeh, told her to leave me and told everyone to leave. I was stunned by the stench of whisky in her breath at such an early hour of the day.

How could the first lady be so drunk at that time? I stayed back to watch the ceremony till the end and left with my dignity intact.

Commentators have been trying to theorize on what could have prompted Ebele’s seeming lack of graciousness at the occasion.

Was it withdrawal symptoms owing to the departure from the perks of Government House ?

Private life did nothing to dampen the sweet charm of Michelle Obama. The fact that President Bill Clinton was impeached for Sexual offences with young lady Monica Lewinsky did not propel Hilary Clinton to fight her husband in public.

But Ebelechukwu Obiano was believed to have fought her husband, Willie Obiano at a State House function in 2018 because she spotted her husband’s alleged mistress there.

There are ladies who need training in charm, calmness, graciousness and poise.
