Egotistical Utility Of Corruption Allegations, Crime based On APC Messianism

Nigeria’s ruling APC has its own idea of corruption and of crime. It is not a matter of law but of messianic egotistical discretion, a ‘messianism’ wound around an ineffectual effigy of purposelessness.

The government of Buhari selects allegations of corruption and crime based on utility.

Of what use is this finding?

Of what use is that allegation?

If it will help to get some punches into the face of the opposition, it is a crime. If it won’t, it is corruption fighting back.

The stories of Abdulrasheed Maina, Babachir Lawal, one NHIS boss who enjoyed presidential immunity against scrutiny in major scandals are in the hearts and minds of Nigerians.

Apart from the fact that the government itself selects the law it would obey and scarcely follow court rulings, its Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun was recently caught up in allegations of jumping the NYSC, of forgery and of things bordering on perjury. The government did not say a thing, and made to pretention to shielding the alleged crimes. To the glory of our land, someone who goes by the title of special adviser to the Purposeless on the fight against corruption was reported as boasting how NYSC doesn’t matter: ‘who cares about NYSC!’ he quipped, according to reports. Of course who cares about NYSC except employers who have rejected non-privileged graduates because of that NYSC paper, for #10.000 jobs! How many that lost opportunities because they had to observe the national service. How many that died in the course of observing it. This is a noble way of promoting justice.

And to say that during the prolonged killings in the North Central of Nigeria in much of 2018, the APC leadership did not cry that Buhari’s prolonged deafening silence was not in the interest of the dying nation, but at a time the party was losing the Senate, it became the chief mourner at the grave mouth of the interest of the people, it must be that the APC is the only party that can revive Nigeria.
