Eid El Kabir: Plateau PDP Wishes Muslims A Hitch Free Celebration, Urges Reflection On Its Significance

The Plateau State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on behalf of the good people of the State wishes the Muslim Ummah, a fruitful Eid-el Kabir celebrations.

A Statement from the office of the State Chairman of the Party, issued Saturday and signed by its Chairman, Chief Hon. Damishi T. Sango Urges Muslims, world over to use the festival as another period of supplication and giving thanks to Allah for his sustenance and protection.

” It is my prayer that we will use this solemn period to solidify our togetherness as a people with one purpose and one common identity for the unity of the State and Nigeria.

“May I congratulate our people for the peaceful coexistence in the state. I believe that the partial peace being enjoyed in the State now is as a result of the understanding that we all need one another as brothers and sisters to live together. I pray that this will be sustained.

“May God grant us the grace to witness next year’s Eid-el-Kabir”.

In another development, Plateau State PDP governorship candidate in March 2019 election, General Jeremiah Useni ( rtd) has equally rejoiced “with the Muslim umma, both far and near, on this special celebration of the “festival of sacrifice”.

“The “Bakr-Eid” rightly commemorates the selfless life of prophet Ibrahim who was willing and ready to offer his son as a sacrifice to demonstrate his dedication to God.

‘May we use this test of the prophet’s faith to also renew our devotion to God. There should be no price too high to pay to attain righteous governance, true dispensation of justice and bringing relief and happiness to the citizens of our nation.

“I pray that our prayers,
animal sacrifice, charity, social
gatherings, festive meals and
sharing of gifts at this period will
strengthen our bond of unity and
care for one another.

“Eid Mubarak”.
