It seems that almost all Ekiti politicians hate the interruption of full satisfying ejaculation. Should the poorest state in the South West of Nigeria feel raped and abused enough to toss off a lover with premature discharge, chances are that four years after, the poor lover would stroll back to bed Ekiti.

Election year after election year, former governor Segun Oni has been jumping from one party to the other trying to snatch the gubernatorial ticket and play a rematch with bedding Ekiti. He hasn’t been successful.

Fayose made his move, came back to do another four years by tossing Fayemi off the Miss Ekiti bed and room. His success has buoyed the ambition of his former deputy who later lost to Fayemi during his determined bid to do another round of four years with Miss Ekiti.

Fayemi actually succeeded in succeeding Fayose.

That makes the two of the former governors comeback kids. But neither Fayemi nor Fayose can come back again to run Ekiti.

The next generation of potential Ekiti governors are warming up.

Kolapo Eleka, a professor of building and part time pastor at the Obafemi Awolowo university Ile-Ife is leading the pack of gubernatorial hopefuls to grab the PDP ticket.

So is former Deputy Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), Kayode Adaramodu. Lateef Ajijola, outgoing National Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Adewale Aribisala are also amongst those who have submitted their completed nomination forms to enable them contest election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Adaramodu who has submitted his form at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja, said that his mission was to bring back the value system in Ekiti State that had been fast eroded.

He also promised that he would ensure that education received its pride of place in the state, saying he would turn the state to a construction site as well as repair the bad roads.

“As a banker and graduate of good governance, I will use my wealth of experience to ensure good governance in the state.

“I will also improve the healthcare system in the state and ensure that all my consultant colleagues are brought back to ensure that the pride of place of the state is restored,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the PDP has approved a further extension of closing date for the sale of nomination forms for the Ekiti State governorship election from the earlier announced Thursday, October 14, 2021 to a new date of Friday, October 22, 2021.

To that effect, the last date for the submission of duly completed forms has also been extended from the earlier Friday, October 15, 2021 to Friday, October 29, 2021.

Consequently, the screening of aspirants for the governorship election primary has been scheduled to hold on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the National Secretariat, Abuja, while the screening appeals have been slated for Monday, November 29, 2021.

The question most pundits are asking is, has all these struggles with coming back to run Ekiti been of help in lifting the state to a prosperous one ?

That remains the million naira question.
