Bold, fearless and undaunted, Nigeria’s former Aviation Minister and one time minister of Culture, Femi Fani-Kayode has carried his campaign against the re-election bid of Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari to fever pitch height on audio SoundCloud with the message to Nigerians not to vote for General Buhari’s reelection.

Femi Fani-Kayode who was at a time, spokesperson for former president Olusegun Obasanjo, and equally became the spokesperson for the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Campaign Organization in 2015 knows his quarry well.
Indeed, General Muhammadu Buhari was Goodluck Jonathan’s main challenger in the 2015 polls, and Buhari won.

Many say that his outbursts during the 2015 elections were not only controversial, but also divisive, further pitching the North versus a section of the South against each other along religious cum ethnic lines. But somehow, it was believed that while spewing out the uncomfortable truth about the Nigerian underbelly, it was largely seen as very undiplomatic and very uncomfortable, as much as it remained the brutal truth.

“Femi Fani-Kayode’s truths polarized sections of the country against each other. He shouldn’t have said them. Nigeria is not ready for the truth. That was why most northerners joined in voting against Jonathan, to spite him”, a Bauchi based media analyst told The Oasis Reporters.

“I voted against Jonathan in 2015 just to spite FFK, I hated his guts”, said Onazi Omale from Makurdi, “but his truths have cruelly caught up with my overrun Benue state. I regret the vote”, he concluded.

Femi Fani-Kayode got his desserts when Muhammadu Buhari won the election in 2015. He was hauled into an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC detention facility for months to explain the source of the PDP campaign finances. Despite the long incarceration, he came out bolder and more fearless, attacking the regime from all sides.

Curiously, despite being mentioned in the rumor mill as a member of the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organization, his name was missing from the final list and it did seem that he is being deliberately sidelined.
Still Kayode has soldiered on, campaigning for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

In his SoundCloud audio message to Nigerians, Femi Fani-Kayode reels off a litany of perceived challenges debilitating against Buhari’s ability to perform or function in the capacity of a President, and then goes on to list his parochialism and clannishness as added factors.
