The Rivers State Chief Judge, Justice Iyayi Laminikara sitting in the State High Court in Port Harcourt has granted an order restraining the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed from further publishing the name of the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, in his looters’ list.

The looters list published by Mr. Lai Mohammed was infamous for containing the names of only the opposition PDP members in a very contentious manner while omitting the names of members of the ruling party, some of them who have already been indicted by one commission of inquiry or the other.

Irked that his name was included in the list, Secondus approached the court to restrain the government from further embarrassing him.

Lai Mohammed and the other defendants or their representatives were absent in court as the case was called on Monday.

However, the Chief Justice who presided over the case of libel, asked the plaintiff to serve the defendant with the appropriate notice and adjourned the matter to May 28, 2018, to proceed into the substance of the case.
