When next Niger State citizens and indeed Nigerians would hear the news and views from the Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, it would be through Mary Noel Berje who has assumed duty as his Chief Press Secretary ( CPS). Berje replaces Malam Jibrin Ndace.
Of significance is that Mrs. Mary Noel Berje is the first female to occupy such a position since the state was created in 1976.
The appointment of Berje, which was announced in a statement in Minna, the state capital by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane equally mentions three others to challenging positions, of which the governor noted was based on merit, proven integrity and outstanding record of performance in their professions.
Mrs. Berje was until her appointment, the Government House Correspondent of the Nigerian Television Authority, Minna. She also doubles as the Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), in Niger state.
