Newly appointed Plateau State Commissioner of Finance, Grace Shwarta Dongkum says her doors are open to staff for meaningful ideas that will lead to growth and progress of Plateau State.
Dongkum stated this recently when she officially took over the helm of affairs of the Ministry from the Permanent Secretary, Rosaline Dakwar Kefas at the conference hall of the Ministry, JD Gomwalk Secretariat in Jos.
While receiving the handing over notes, the state Commissioner of Finance said the wealth of experiences gathered by the directors and staff over the years will be of great benefit to her in running the affairs of the Ministry, for the progress of the State.
She expressed gratitude to Governor Caleb Mutfwang for finding her worthy to serve the state in the capacity of a Commissioner. Dongkum solicited for cooperation and support of staff for better achievements as all hands must be on deck to attain maximum results.
Shortly after the handing over ceremony the Commissioner had a closed door session with the Directors in her office, where she informed them that “what the government needs now at this time is optimal and prudent management of scarce resources for the benefit of the citizens”.
Earlier in her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance, Roseline Kefas Dakwar expressed confidence that the Commissioner will deliver on her mandate considering the fact that she is coming from the financial sector.
