‘Include Us In Anchor Borrower Program’, Fulani Herdsmen Tell Buhari Govt

The Fulani community have called upon the Federal Government to include Fulani herdsmen in its Anchor Borrower Programme.
Alhaji Ya’u Dan Fulani who spoke to New Nigerian in Zaria said it is unfortunate to push Fulani away from such a benefiting programme that will help in reducing the menace of Fulani herdsmen/farmers clash.
He said Fulani community as Nigerians need to be included in every programme that will improve their living standards.
According to him, the Nigerian nation, quite deplorably has been battling with how to better the lot of its citizenry, particularly the Fulani’s.
Alh. Ya’u Dan Fulani who expressed his surprise that the Fulani have not been included in the Anchor Borrower Programme hopes they will be considered in the near future.
He said if Fulani become part of the beneficiaries, a lot of security challenges will be addressed and most importantly, the kidnapping and clashes with farmers will become history.
Some Fulanis are blaming what they describe as faulty ideological framework on which the Nigerian nation operates, while others see its problem as a miserable failure of leadership.
Alhaji Ya’u believes that government will use its listening ears to engage the Fulani herdsmen in all its corporate service activities for them to feel that they belong.
