Journalists Union Condemns Agom Adara’s Murder, Declares 3 Days Mourning

Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council has condemned the murder of the Agom Adara, Dr. Maiwada Galadima by unidentified heartless kidnappers.

A press release signed by the council Secretary, Dauda Idris Doka says the union has declared three days mourning in respect of the late paramount and peaceful leader, Dr. Maiwada Galadima who struggled hard for the unity and development of his community, Kaduna state and Nigeria in general.

“The last meeting our members had with late Dr. Maiwada Galadima at his palace during the NUJ tour is still fresh in our memory and he has departed at a time when his services are needed most.

The Union is appealing to the state government and security agencies to double their efforts in ensuring that the perpetrators of this evil act are identified and brought to book.

On behalf of all members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kaduna state council wants to use this medium to condole with the Kaduna State government, Kajuru and Kachia LGAs, Adara Chiefdom and his family over the irreparable loss.

We also appeal for peaceful coexistence among the followers of Islam and Christianity for the peace, unity and development of our dear state.”
