Fire Image. Bears no relationship to any known or unknown outbreak of fire anywhere in Nigeria or Africa.

Given the very difficult times Nigerians are passing through and have been passing through in the last 3 years, virtually all of us have been so impatient and disgusted with the happenings particularly in Kaduna State that most reactions to activities of government are always dismissive. If governance is to have any meaning at all it should be to the extent that government is providing security for lives and property of the population. If there are any indications of failure of leadership, our Kaduna State epitomizes such monumental failures.

For the 3 years gone, the population in this State has been treated to a cocktail of naked lies. The level of failure in the government of the State is unquantifiable. Rather than creating jobs in fulfilling the campaign promises, workers in the State have been and are continually being subjected to dismissals at the whims and caprices of the dubious gang operating from Sir Kashim Ibrahim House. If civil servants must be sacked at all, it is only rational and humane that such must be paid their severance packages. This may be the practice elsewhere but not in Kaduna as the economic vampires masquerading as consultants have all but seized Kaduna State by the throat to the extent that the State is at the point of asphyxiation.

Those illegally sacked from their places of work have technically been despatched to their early deaths. How could a government be so wicked to her population even in the face of such hardship as is being currently experienced. With utter disregard to the plight of the hapless people of Kaduna State, the Vuvuzela In- Chief has been spewing cheap lies so as to be seen to be doing his job. If anything at all, the government of Mallam Nasiru El Rufai will be terminated by the collective will of the electorate in Kaduna State come 2019.

I should offer my personal sympathies to the suffering masses of Kaduna State for the not so mysterious fire which gutted the State not so independent electoral commission on Saturday 21 April 2018. While the cause of the inferno is yet unknown, it is evidently suspect that an election which should have held more than 2 years earlier given the campaign promise is only about 2 weeks away and the State has woken up to this sad news. The people of Kaduna ought to have known that the goodwill to conduct the Local Council polls is lacking in the current government. That some people believed that the Emperor would indeed organize the election in the first place in the light of his utterances and body language can only mean that they have been reading the Emperor wrongly. One did not need to undertake a research to know that the elections were not going to hold. The not so mysterious inferno tells the rest of the story better. Is it not a perfect coincidence that this not so mysterious inferno happened while the Emperor is out of town?
We are still waiting to hear from the principal vuvuzela to speak on the issue. We urge those agencies responsible for investigating the cause of the inferno to leave no stone unturned in unravelling the facts regarding this not so mysterious inferno.
