Lalong commends Muslims For Good Conduct During Sallah As They Pay Homage

Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has commended the Muslim faithfuls (ummah) for conducting themselves in a manner that has promoted peaceful coexistence during Sallah (Eid – el – Kabir) celebration.
He equally urged them to pray for peace as we approach the election.
Gov Lalong stated this when the Muslim community on the Plateau paid him the traditional sallah homage at the Government House in Jos.
Gov Lalong used the occasion to solicit their support for the administration adding that “We are supporting President Buhari because he’s a good man who has the interest of the nation and the press at heart”.
Speaking at the event, Dr Mohammed Haruna Sambo, the Emir of Wase and State Chairman of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) commended the Governor for sponsoring the highest number of Muslim pilgrims for the 2018 hajj exercise.
The Emir thanked the Governor for operating an all inclusive government as he prayed for the peace of the nation.
The occasion which attracted a cross section of the Muslim faithful and members of the State executive council witnessed the traditional breaking of kola and the sharing of goodwill.
