Leaders Give Okowa Assurance Of 2nd Term Support At Delta South Mega Rally

Delta state Governor, Senator (Dr.) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa has been assured of a second term in office come 2019 just as top PDP leaders in the state endorsed him during the Delta South Mega rally at Oleh township stadium last weekend.
Former Governors Chief James Ibori, Emmanuel Uduaghan, Bozimo, Okumagba and Solomon Ogbah while speaking during the occasion on behalf of the party and Delta South Senatorial district endorsed the state governor, while they also charged all aspirants to conduct their campaign within the ambit of the law.
Chief James Ibori and others made the endorsement at Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South at the Mega Rally organized by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Delta South Senatorial district Saturday, where the leadership of the three ethnic groups that form the district, Ijaws, Isokos and Itsekiris formally endorsed and adopted Governor Okowa as their choice come 2019 election.
Political leaders of the Delta South, Alaowei Broderick Bozimo, Dr. Roland Oritsejafor, Chief Solomon Ogba and Chief Emmanuel Okumagba on behalf of the Ijaws, Itsekiri, Isoko and Warri Urhobos all endorsed the governor for a second term in office because according to them he has performed creditably well.
Governor Okowa who described the rally as a national rally extolled former Governors James Ibori and Emmanuel Uduaghan as having built the PDP house on a solid foundation on which he is consolidating with the support of the leadership of party faithfuls from Delta south and assured them of a level playing field for all contestants during the party primaries. He added that with the mammoth crowd he saw in the rally, he is assured that no opposition party has a structured that can challenge the PDP at all levels in the state come 2019.
He admonished them to see themselves as brothers and sisters as he is determined to run an all inclusive government.
Chief James Ibori on his part charged all aspirants to go about their campaigns within the ambit of the laws of the land and the PDP constitution.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan assured Governor Okowa of total support even as he reminded the mammoth gathering that Delta governorship elections are usually determined by result from Delta south and charged Governor Okowa to always remember the people for their steadfastness and loyalty to the party.
