Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo’s leadership style in Gombe State, where everyone receives equal treatment irrespective of religious or tribal inclinations has often been described as one great attribute of the Gombe State Governor.
Alh. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo P.hD, OON (Talban Gombe) has proven himself to be an extremely detribalised leader whose leadership style cuts across and impacts positively on all tribes and religious persuasions in Gombe State.
He is one person that majority of Gombawas identify as a formidable leader.
He has proven over time that he is credible as well as well educated.
He creditably served Nigeria at a time as the Accountant General of the Federation. He has proven himself to be a good manager of scarce resources considering his giant strides in Gombe State.
All civil servants in Gombe State can testify to the fact that Dankwambo’s legacy of prompt payment of salaries is undoubtedly a legacy that also needs to be sustained.
Never in his leadership style has he ever sacked or molested any civil servant as a reward for him/her being a member of an opposition party.
It is a well known fact that, Dankwambo appointed one of the APC chieftain’s son into his cabinet as a member.
In 2011 when he was sworn-in as the Executive Governor of Gombe State, his first achievement was to bring Gombe people together to design a development plan for Gombe by engaging them through various committees irrespective of religious, tribal and/ or political party affiliation.
