Makinde Commissions Gege Police Station built by Assemblyman, Yusuf Adebisi

Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde tweeted that the Gege Police Station built by a serving member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Yusuf Adebisi had been commissioned.

 

 

 

He stated further that in executing the project, Hon Adebisi “keyed into our Security pillar which is important to our people’s welfare and our dear state’s economy”.

Many police stations were either threatened or set ablaze by angry mobs in Oyo state and all over the country as youths were angry over police brutality and the killing of protesting youths at the Toll-gate in Lagos where the army was invited and they opened lethal fire on the protesters.

 

 

Governor Seyi Makinde replaced the four burnt police vans with a record 74 vehicles recently and he also pledged compensation to the families of killed policemen in the ensuing mêlée.
