One way to cushion the impact of the removal of petroleum subsidy is to provide adequate electricity to the populace.

Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde has cast his vote for a public partnership to bring the dream to reality.

He tweets thus:

“With the recent amendment of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution, our administration is seeking to partner with private investors in the sustainable energy sector to meet the over 400MW deficit in our dear state. We have already created the Oyo State Electricity Regulatory Commission to facilitate investments in the sector”
