The Ngas Development Association has expressed dismay over the renewed killings in parts of Plateau State.
The Association regrets that these killings of innocent souls and destruction of property are happening when the nation and Plateau State in particular witnessed another new dawn at the various levels of governance.
National President, Ngas Development Association, Nde Gonen Gofwen, in a statement condoles with the people of Jos North and Kanke LGAs on the recent unfortunate incidents that occurred in some parts of Kanke and Jos North Local Government Areas of the State.
“The unfortunate loss of lives and property in Dutse Uku and environs of Jos North LGA is indeed a source of concern and the senseless killings of people by marauders in Tasha Kabwir, Kanke LGA is yet another sad memory.
“The National Executive Council of Ngas Development Association on behalf of the Ngas Nation while commiserating with the people and those affected in the two LGAs over the loss of lives and property also commended the Plateau State Government and the security agencies for their quick interventions.
“We however, call on the authorities concerned to ensure more proactive measures are put in place to forestall future occurrences as well as preserve the relative peace that Plateau State has enjoyed of late.
“Once again, accept the deepest condolences of the Ngas Nation”.
