It is obvious that the political merchant class especially in the north are for the first time, scared of the election fever sweeping through the country in favour of newness as represented by Peter Obi.
While APC picked Muslim-Muslim Ticket, PDP suspended their Constitution for another Fulani to emerge. Atiku deleted his Deborah Tweet. Mahdi Shehu (the bigoted criminal) works for Atiku. APC & PDP are chasing Northern Votes. They told the South & Christians to go to hell🚩

Mahdi Shehu said all manner of rubbish against Peter Obi. He said all of that in the full glare of cameras, without flinching. He knows heavens won’t fall & DSS will look away. Twitter is quiet, but if any OBIdient said 1% of that, Twitter will go up flames. WELL DONE NIGERIANS👏

But to properly delve into this topic, the question now is, Was late Deborah not northern enough ? Someone responded with that question after watching the above video.
Before answering who is northern enough or who is less of a northerner, Prophet Isa El-Buba, a northern pastor counters by replying to Mahdi and calling him a liar because he also is a northerner, yet has the liberty to preach in the south.

As a Southern Christian myself whose early life from conception started from the north till the 1966 disturbances and we had to be evacuated to the South, then the Nigerian Civil War of 1967-1970 which I experienced in the South, to my return to the north for National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) in the 80s, then living in the north for another 27 straight years in the far north, I have the bragging rights to say I know the topic of northern Nigerian Christian lives better.
I’ve had pastors who are both northerners as well as Southerners who were Shepherds unto me.
Luckily for me, I have close friends who are northern Muslims as well as northern Christians. Some are even family members or relations so to speak. This has happened due to intermarriages that cannot be avoided.
There is a cabal who see themselves in arrogant lights as the custodians of the north and would make all efforts to stoke divisions between the two groups.
Someone wrote this about “The Mind”, which I saw on Facebook and I have tried to trace the original writer without success so far. Whoever the insightful writer is, I salute you. Thank you.

This means that new thoughts, new ideas permanently change our minds. Our thought process is different, once we have a new idea with which to play.
It equally highlights the fact that opening to new ideas changes the way people think. New ideas and situations can transform an ignorant person or people into a more thoughtful people who view and listen to evidence, and easily give up to bias in the name of truth , a more dimensional person , and that change is irreversible.
As it happens to an individual, so also applicable to a nation.
It is called Gross Mental Aptitude”.
Thus, there are the self appointed custodians of the north who want the people to remain in the darkness they put them, the darkness they prepared for them.
That is aimed at keeping them where they are, for the control to continue.
For instance, a man like Peter Obi being warmly embraced by the ordinary people of the north would see to be a threat to the entrenched positions of the self acclaimed custodians of the north.
That is why people like Mahdi Shehu would believe that he can manipulate people of the north so as to prevent them from seeing and smelling the reality on ground.
