The spokesman for former military ruler General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has queried the value Nigeria’s leadership places on human life.

Prince Kassim Afegbua expressed his anger recently, days after he was questioned by the security agencies over a statement released on behalf of General Ibrahim Babangida urging the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari not to seek for re-election in 2019.

Afegbua said, while “they were burying 73 victims of a massacre in Benue state, my president was having dinner with already overfed APC chieftains. They were burying 41 victims in Zamfara, my president was having talks with APC Governors”.

While massacres were ongoing in Zamfara state, Gov. Yari was having a smiling photo ops and retreat with fellow APC governors in Daura, the President’s home town.

“President Donald Trump addressed America over 17 victims killed by a lone gunman. Actually it may not be about age, but value system, exposure and leadership style.

“If I complain now, Buharists would come for my neck. There is no value for human life in this clime. And the government of President Buhari is making matters worse. Do you need further evidence why i should not withhold my vote in 2019?”, Kassim Afegbua further added.
