In the last 20 years or thereabouts, enough credit has not been given to Dr. Olusegun Obasanjo who gave Nigerians GSM and thus launched the internet that spawned our social media Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc that has enabled us to have the robust democracy we all enjoy today.
Thank you, Dr. Obasanjo.
And Obasanjo was less than one year out of the prison the then Nigerian Pharaoh put him in, unto death. He survived prison, but his jailer went to meet his maker at his appointed time, for everyone has his or her own timing.

In the spirit of campaigning, some social media commentators have lampooned Peter Obi for going to Egypt. But that ought not to Obi (I meant, “that ought not to be).
Peter Obi went to understudy how Egypt delivered its own people out of the type of debilitating Darkness Nigeria is in. Egypt has, in a few short years, throttled its power generation to 16,000MW for about 120 million people, while Nigeria has remained static at 4,000MW generation in 20 years for 200 million Nigerians.
Besides, and historically speaking, Joseph in the Bible took his young wife Mary and their new born baby, Jesus Christ to Egypt for safety because a certain Herod and his bandits sought the life of the baby, out of plain wickedness to prevent humanity from being delivered out of darkness.
Thus, going to Egypt by Peter Obi is a necessary first step, for he will come back with light solutions upon all of Nigeria.
When it was time, Jesus Christ was brought back from Egypt after Pharaoh had gone, for no Pharaoh would last forever.
Moses is another historically important biblical figure that was saved in Egypt. As a baby in the floating basket on the River Nile which powers the dam that provides much of Egyptian electricity before the expansion, visiting that electrical site is of spiritual importance to Nigeria’s search for stable electricity.
Let’s give credit to Peter Obi for going there. And by the way, Moses to some wonderful Nigerians is the same as Musa, to some wonderful Nigerians also.
A deliverer ! Peter Obi is not a genie out of the bottle. He’s real. A solution seeker and problem solver.
There’s another Joseph in the Bible. Very upright man, and for refusing to sleep with Potiphar, Pharaoh’s wife, he was wrongly jailed in Egypt. But God is in that land. He watched over Joseph in prison. When the appointed time came, God made a way. The very Pharaoh who erroneously jailed Joseph through the proddings of his adulterous wife, was sprung out of prison in Egypt to become the Prime Minister of the nation.
Going to Egypt is thus, spiritually important for Peter Obi, in this trip to the land of Pharaohs. He’s coming back shortly to move his campaign up and free Nigeria from darkness into light and prosperity.
