The State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council for Edo Governorship election, Chief Dan Orbih, has blamed the indiscretion of the sacked national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comr. Adams Oshiomhole, APC for the diminishing fortunes of the party, noting that the former national chairman has only succeeded in killing and burying the APC in Edo State.

Orbih said this while addressing party faithful in Ward 3, Etsako East Local Government Area (LGA), during the reelection campaign rally of the Edo State Governor and the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Godwin Obaseki in Edo North Senatorial District.

The Edo campaign council chair expressed confidence that Governor Obaseki will be reelected come September 19, 2020 on account of his sterling performance, adding that the majority of Edo people are impressed with the governor’s developmental strides and will vote him to consolidate on the successes recorded in his first term.

Orbih said: “Since Adams Oshiomhole started sowing the seed of division in APC, he has infected the APC with political coronavirus. Oshiomhole’s indiscretion has led to the disintegration of the APC in Nigeria”.

On his part, Obaseki said a few selfish politicians were fighting him to take over the resources of the state, declaring that Edo is not Lagos State.

According to him, “Edo is not Lagos State. We must change everything that has been done wrongly. Our people are not asking for too much. The money is available, but only a few people want to take over the resources,” he said.

The governor recalled how he fought to reclaim the hectares of land that was allegedly taken from the people of Etsako East LGA by intruders.

He also appealed to voters in the LGA to vote for the PDP to enable him to attract more development to the people of the locality, particularly in the area of road construction and empowerment of youths and women.

Addressing PDP members and supporters in Ward 2, Agenebode, Etsako East LGA, the Chairman of DAAR Communications, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, urged his kinsmen to work towards the re-election of Governor Obaseki for sustainable development of the state.
