He thanked the people of the state for their support before and during the primaries stressing that he would not let them down if elected governor.

He stressed the fact that his policy thrust, tagged “ACCESS” is a principle that will govern Plateau without any sentiments towards tribe or religion.

In his words, “I shall consider security as a cardinal point, security is fundamental because we need to protect our children as well as everyone”.

Nentawe stressed that this will be captured through effective use of drones and community vigilante groups.

Dr. Nentawe further added that he will work to ensure that Plateau state is united, if voted into office.

He stressed that ”I have come to empower the people of Plateau state and to make sure Plateau state is a haven for all irrespective of religion or tribe.

He also vowed to focus attention on rural development if elected governor.
“Proper education must be given to our children ,we would carry every one along in governance.”

Nentawe also promised to be accountable, accessible and responsive to the needs of the people for the development of the state.

He further said more public schools with adequate facilities would be provided in the rural areas, adding that education was key to development.

” I promise to give priority to youth empowerment as I would set aside 10 percent of the Internally Generated Revenue of the state for vulnerable people in Plateau, as well as build business hubs and revamp agriculture.”

Yilwatda further said he will intensify poverty alleviation programmes with a specific focus on youth employment and empowerment, as he declared that an idle hand is the devil’s workshop.

“We all know that the future belongs to the youths who are innovative and industrious, they are also the bedrock for development if empowered.”

“I will empower the youths to realise their full potentials and that will be one of my key priorities if given the mandate,” he added.

“I want to also state that if given the opportunity to serve, I will be accountable and responsive to the problems confronting the people of Plateau State.”

According to him, making the youth self-reliant, resourceful, industrious and creative is one of the agenda of what I’m going to do if elected; hence I would always welcome ideas that would give the desired leverage.

He promised to bring back night life in the state and create business opportunities for citizens of the state .

” On agriculture, he promised to collaborate with relevant bodies to fund the sector which will go a long way to engage youths and reduce unemployment in the State.

He called on the people of the state to support his aspiration and ensure he gets elected as governor while supporting the APC at all times.”

While receiving the Candidate on behalf of the members, the chairman of the union, Paul Jatau thanked the APC flag bearer Nentawe Yilwatda for the visit and urged him to have an open door policy where everyone can have access to him for the growth of the state.
