‘Plateau State Is Set To Receive President Muhammadu Buhari’ – Gov. Lalong

Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong has expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness for the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the state.

The State Government Says it is fully prepared to host the number one citizen of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari who is billed to be in the state on
Thursday this week.

The Governor, has however earmarked a working tour to project sites that are either initiated by him or his predecessor that have been duly completed or undergoing finishing touches penciled for commissioning by Mr. President.

Conducting journalists during the visit to some of the projects started by Governor Jang and inherited by his government, which included the Yelwa Club to Rayfield
road, the secretariat junction flyover bridge
and the Secretariat junction – Mararaba Jama’a dual carriageways which are all at the final stage of completion, Lalong expressed satisfaction with the level of work done.

During the visit, the governor also inspected work at the old
Airport road, Domkat Bali road and Low cost road to ensure that nothing was left out undone on the project.

President Buhari is also expected to inspect some ongoing projects like the bridge linking Unguwan Rogo and Ali Kazaure in the metropolis.

In addition, President Buhari during the visit is also expected to commission 400 tractors purchased by the administration and meet with stakeholders on the peace building efforts in the troubled state.

Speaking after the inspection, the governor said, “we had several interventions and we
equally purchased more than 400 tractors to boost agriculture in the state because this year, we are expecting a bumper harvest.
“Plateau State will also be exporting
potatoes to foreign countries,” he added.
