President Muhammadu Buhari has spoken from London where he is on a 10-day vacation.
The President was said to have commiserated with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung on the death of his wife, Mrs Briskila Dalung.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by Nneka Anibeze, the Special Assistant, Media to Dalung, saying the president commiserated with Dalung in a telephone conversation from London.
Buhari, who expressed shock at the death of Mrs Dalung which came at an unripe age, prayed that God would forgive her sins and asked God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.
He also prayed to God to give the family she left behind the fortitude to bear the loss and promised to support the Dalung family in their moment of grief.
It will be recalled that Dalung had announced the demise of his wife who died after a brief illness on Jan. 29, in Jos, via his official Facebook page saying it is a huge loss that he could barely continue
