Ahead of the conclusion of political party primaries, many contestants seem to have dumped their erstwhile parties to seek their fortunes elsewhere.
First was ranking Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) minority Senate leader who has crossed over to the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, and former deputy Senate President, Prof. Ike Ekwerenmadu who reports say has joined presidential contender Peter Obi in swelling the ranks of the Labour Party.

With former labour Union leader, Edo State governor and one time All Progressive Congress (APC) leader, Adams Oshiomole alleged to have muscled the Senatorial ticket of Edo North to himself, incumbent Senator representing Edo North, Senator Francis Alimikhena has decided to withdraw from the APC Senatorial election bid.
Report from his media aide, Benjamin Atu stated that the next move of the senator will be made known shortly.
“This is to inform the general public that Senator Francis Alimikhena is still much in the Senatorial race but no longer under the platform of the All Progressive Congress. The decision to leave the Party is based on his moral principles which has been his watchword.”
With the unsettled political climate all over the nation, it remains quite unpredictable how events are going to unfold from now into 2023, when voters on the streets shall finally decide who wins and who loses.
Arms remain folded as the nation watches and waits.
