It has been very difficult holding back our tears since the news of your demise filtered down to us. Most importantly because of the unfinished task still ahead of the Church and Southern Kaduna.
You have been a selfless leader for all and a voice for the voiceless. In all your life, you were a rallying point for us all. Your influence in the religious, political and social life of southern Kaduna stands taller than any structure. You were a bridge across different and difficult terrains.
It is true that we are mourning. But our mourning is not more than our celebration of the undeniable legacies you have left behind.
When we look back and across the length and breath of Southern Kaduna, we see the platform and strong foundation that you have laid for the continuation of the values and principles you have lived for. We see the road maps you have set for the way forward for our people. It is for this, that we are comforted.
Bishop Joseph Bagobiri, is too great a force to be forgotten. Therefore, we call on the government to immortalize his life, legacies and values.
May the God of all comfort minister His peace to the people of Southern Kaduna, the immediate family of His Lordship and the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan.
Rest at the feet of the Master.
