‘Ruto Failed To Read The Room. In The End, He Ate Humble Pie And Refused To Sign The Finance Bill

President William Ruto has rejected the Finance Bill 2024 and promised that the controversial Bill will be stepped down at the parliament.
Sometimes protests are the only way. And although belated and came at great cost, it’s a win nonetheless.
The protests that resulted in deaths and torture could have been avoided.
Ruto failed to read the room, and he should never receive any pat on the back.
Young Kenyans paid with their lives for a cause they believed in and I’m so proud. Those that died are the martyrs of Kenya’s Democracy and should be remembered.
For me, the lesson here is that “Young Africans” must reach for it and grab it. Nothing is going to be handed to them on a plate.
And unlike Nigeria, Kenya is proof that the Institutions of Democracy can be separated from the state, if the executive so desires.
“The President matters!!!”
While the young otherwise called the Soro Soke were slaughtered in Nigeria in Oct 2020, the Nigerian State failed to address the issues of Police Brutality till this day.
Many EndSARS Protesters are still languishing in jails across Nigeria, for a crime they didn’t commit.
The Nigerian state is still in rabid denial.
Again, I saw a tweet where a Kenyan said that a police officer realized that one of the young men killed was his brother. He removed his uniform and began to mourn.
Kenya is indeed a nation of BLOOD and William Ruto did this one. Kenya and Nigeria are proof that there is no consensus in Africa.
Most policies are by fiat. The Senate is the clever way of giving a tiny bit of power back to the people.
But it’s all a ruse.
Most democracies in Africa just want the “Pax Africana,” or African Peace. There should be no bonfires, no protests. They want the people to live in peace under great fear.
African ‘rulers’ keep all the powers to themselves. Then they carefully give some of it back to their men, as a sign of their ‘not so obvious’ respect for the sacrosanct Libertas.
Clever men some of them are. They have figured how to work the system (through Western Support) to stay in power. They will kill their citizens and when the fire dies down, no one will remember what happened.
It is FEAR, they rule by it and offer no apologies.
It happened in Lagos Nigeria, on October 20, 2020. Buhari did it and got away with it.
William Ruto has done it, he’ll probably get away with it. Tinubu won’t hesitate to do it as well.
Africans are cooked and no one is coming to rescue you. It’ll take a Revolution, sort of a “broad-based post-independence struggle” to liberate the continent.
Israel is U.S Hypocrisy on the world stage. But it’s not like Pro-Palestinian activists in Africa are exactly innocent.
Some of them supported the “Lekki Tollgate Massacre” in Lagos Nigeria. They support the chaotic insane slaughter of their fellow black Africans and advocate for the lives of Arabs in the Middle East.
Africa Rising is blurred nowadays and it’s almost extinct. Our world became bipolar, nothing is black or white anymore.
It now depends on the side you’re on. Africans blurred their History to be accepted. There is no room for complacency; you have to be born mad to survive the continent.
Chances are the man being clubbed with the stick is fighting for the right of the one wielding the stick. Slavery didn’t end, it only became black.
