Senator Shehu Sani, picks nomination form for Kaduna Guber Race

Ex – Senator who was Kaduna Central Senatorial District representative at the Senate, Shehu Sani has officially picked expression of interest and nomination forms to vie for the governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), vowing to make it impossible for terrorists to operate in the state if elected as the governor come 2023.

Shehu Sani picked the form by himself. No programmed group bought it for it.

While addressing newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday after picking expression of interest and nomination forms, Shehu Sani said Kaduna needs a leader that can lead the battle against bandits and terrorists who have laid debilitating siege on the state for a long while now.

Battle against bandits and the evils of banditry has been the greatest threat to his own people and Kaduna State and those travelling through his state, a key artery in the North Central, North West region of Nigeria as well as gateway to the North East of the country.

Shehu Sani is visibly angry over the most topical issue worrying his state, and by extension, the country.

Who owns the land?
Bandit invaders or Nigerians of Kaduna extraction?

Let’s find out:

Sani pointed out that the state had never been as divided as it is now under the Governor Nasir el-Rufai-led All Progressives Congress (APC), saying that only justice, equity and fairness could unite the people.

The infamy of terrorists and their terrorism is sinking the north. And this terrorism didn’t start today. From the raids to enslave others, sell them to European slave traders, this evil has not stopped with the Fulani slavers which has since metamorphosed into banditry, kidnapping for ransom and killings.

According to Sani, there is no terrorism and banditry in Kano and Jigawa because “the governments are proactive, wondering why Kaduna’s case is different.”

“We can’t continue to fold our hands while the government is helpless. We must unite the people against terror,” he said, noting that Kaduna has never been more divided along religious lines that it is today.”

“Only justice, equity and fairness will unite the country. If the governor’s formula were to be working, he could have united the people.”

Obviously, Kaduna needs fairness, equity and justice. Zaria born Hausa native, Shehu Sani is pledging to unify his people. And it’s about time.
