The Christian community and Muslim Leaders in Plateau State came together for a solemn peace walk to Plateau State Government House, Little Rayfield Jos, to commemorate the tragic loss of hundreds of lives during the Christmas Eve attacks in Bokkos, Mangu, and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas.

The marchers brought forward their 10-points demand for peace.

In receiving them, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State said:

“I am extremely grateful for the support of the Christian Community and the Muslim Leaders and I wish to assure them that there will be a prompt delivery of their 10 point demand to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The President, and my Administration, are determined to secure our land and end this cycle of violence, I promise that the bloodshed will not be in vain”.

Plateau State has been under the painful throes of massacres from people described as terrorists who are bent on sowing the seeds carnage in bloodbath and other variant forms of terror, either to drive the indigenous natives away from their land using various forms of fear over the decades.

Insecurity in Plateau state has made the fertile lands of the state not to explore all its potentials.
