Teenagers and above who were movie buffs from 1978 upwards would relieve their dimple moments when they romantically talk about the classic movie, “Grease” that debuted back then. It starred John Travolta who had the hots for Australian born Olivia Newton – John, the girl who can sing and also had a pretty face. It was real feisty school love.
Soon after unveiling his new film “Gotti” at a black-tie Cannes Film Festival premiere on Tuesday, John Travolta wore a jean jacket and black T-shirt to a beach screening of his 1978 classic “Grease” the next night for fans.

Travolta in Cannes was a a big hit, a highly honoured Hollywood entry at the French Film Festival in this year.

“Grease” director Randal Kleiser was there to mark the classic film’s 40th anniversary.

Grease is the kind of movie that everyone wanted to sing along with and when it opened again forty years after in the beach side of the French Riviera, “there were 1,000 people singing every line with Travolta as they watched on the beach. It was like karaoke,” said a guest. “People were wrapped in blankets. Travolta was having the best time.”
John Travolta tried his best to pump up the party at the 40th anniversary screening of “Grease” at the festival’s beach cinema. So he danced on stage with rapper 50 Cent, merciless critics did not spare him though, making jest of his “dad moves”. But though the star is a family Man.

Forty years after is no joke, after all.
He flew into town after vacationing in Ireland with his family, including wife Kelly Preston, kids Ella Bleu and Ben, and sister Ellen Travolta. And with his own plane.
“Grease”. That’s one family movie to watch again and again.
