Saleh Shehu Ashaka may probably not have envisaged the earth shaking impact his tweet would generate when he posted a photo said to be that of President Buhari in London. The very first one Nigerians are seeing so far in over two months .

Shocked about it’s reverberating impact and hits on his twitter handle, Saleh Shehu Ashaka promptly and hurriedly deleted the post.
He wasn’t fast enough. Screenshots had been grabbed already.

Saleh Shehu Ashaka is no ordinary journalist. He is a long time reporter for the Voice Of America (VOA) radio, the non profit making outfit that broadcasts and represents the views and opinions of the American government.

Top government officials all over Nigeria and more so in Hausa speaking areas court Saleh like a prince and he enters where others fear to thread.

This photo is from his handle, and therefore likely to be authentic.

President Buhari could be seen in it in a yellow long dress and a white cap, believed to have been taken at the Abuja House in London, Nigeria’s diplomatic Mission.

“President Buhari’s first picture in 68 days, since he departed Nigeria for medical treatment in London,” he tweeted from his Twitter page @AshakaSaleh.

Mr. Muhammadu Buhari departed the country on May 7 for a follow up on his medical treatment and check up, and he said only his London based doctors can determine how soon he’ll be back.

Voice of America’s reporter , Saleh Shehu Ashaka, on Saturday, released the photo on Twitter alleging that the image released by him was President Buhari’s first photo after sixty eight (68) days in London.

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was requested to coordinate the activities of government in the absence of the president, according to the letter Mr. Buhari sent to the two chambers of the National Assembly some two months ago .

Osinbajo later visited President Buhari in London on Tuesday.

In an update on the health status of the President during an interview with State House Correspondents shortly before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday, Prof. Osinbajo said “Buhari is in high spirits, doing very well and recuperating very fast.”

Despite Osinbajo’s assurances, political ‘princes’ at the court are busy making permutations and plotting succession games, some overt, others covert.
Mr. Buhari’s wife, Aisha has likened them to hyenas and jackals who would soon be chased out by the ‘Lion King’, referring to her husband.
